During 2001 and 2002 Andrew Fenlon supported me (Ann Smith, Principal and Chief Executive of City College Brighton and Hove in the UK) with regard to financial and change management.

During the first year we:

  • recouped a £1.8million (A$ 3.6 million) deficit budget (where the recovery had previously been estimated as taking 5 years);
  • reorganised the structure of the senior management team; and
  • set in place the foundation for the successful College it came to be.

Andrew’s influence was instrumental in the subsequent success over the next six years of increasing the student population from 11,000 to 15,000 students and almost doubling the annual budget from £11 million (A$ 22 million) to £21 million (A$ 42 million).

Andrew has an excellent track record and I wish him every success in his Australian executive and leadership programmes.
